ADOPTED
In 2019, Down 7 Up 8 Incorporated officially adopted the Nanny/Manny Brigade to be a part of their wonderful organization. We will work together as we have in the past to bring wonderful events to the foster/adoptive community and at-risk children in our community. These events will educate, inspire and motivation the children in our community.
SHARE YOUR LOVE WITH A FOSTER CHILD WITHOUT BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT
The Nanny/Manny Brigade is a group of volunteers who are willing to be a positive influence on children that are coming into Cobb County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) custody.
When a child is taken into State Custody, it can be terrifying. Most of the time, they must wait at the DFCS office until they are placed with a foster home. Our volunteers supervise and befriend children for a morning or afternoon on that critical day.
Our volunteers also support the DFCS staff by caring for children who are waiting in the office for visitation with their parents and during family meetings conducted at the DFCS office.

OUR MISSION
To provide assistance with foster children by providing a positive, caring environment for children who have just been brought into State Custody.
To support the Cobb County DFCS Staff and the Cobb County Foster Parents during intake, court proceedings and training activities of Foster Parents.
